Spouses’ Program:

On Monday, September 17, the ITA has planned an exciting trip for registered spouses guests to attend. The group will travel from the Westin St. Francis Hotel to Muir Woods for an exciting nature walk tour, followed by lunch and shopping in the nearby bayside town of Sausalito. The tour will include lunch for the group in Sausalito at Scoma’s. The group will depart from the hotel at 9:00 am and return at approximately 4:00 pm.

About Muir Woods: Enter the Redwood Forest

Walk among old growth coast redwoods, cooling their roots in the fresh water of Redwood Creek and lifting their crowns to reach the sun and fog. Federally protected as a National Monument since 1908, this primeval forest is both refuge and laboratory, revealing our relationship with the living landscape. What will you discover in Muir Woods?

About Sausalito, California:

Sausalito is a city in Marin County, California. The community is situated near the northern end of the Golden Gate Bridge, and prior to the building of that bridge served as a terminus for rail, car, and ferry traffic. Sausalito developed rapidly as a shipbuilding center in World War II, with its industrial character giving way in postwar years to a reputation as a wealthy and artistic enclave, a picturesque residential community (incorporating large numbers of houseboats), and a tourist destination, and is adjacent to, and largely bounded by, the protected spaces of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
