ITA 2024 Conference Information
The International Tar Association (ITA) 2024 Annual Conference will be held in Osaka, Japan from Sunday, October 27th, through Tuesday, October 29th. The Annual Conference will be hosted at The Ritz-Carlton Osaka, located at 2-5-25 Umeda Kita-ku, Osaka, Japan 530-0001. Conference delegates will enjoy this downtown location in the central area of Osaka. Conference registration and hotel reservations are available through the ITA website. The International Tar Association looks forward to welcoming association members and conference delegates to Osaka.
Conference Itinerary and Information:
The 2024 ITA Annual Conference will begin on Sunday, October 27th with the traditional Sunday Outing to local area sites and attractions. Information on the Sunday Outing will be updated soon.
The Annual Conference Welcome Reception is scheduled for Sunday at 18:30 PM. This Reception is a great opportunity for our Member Company and Conference Delegates to join together ahead of the two day intensive conference. The Reception will be held in the Grand Ballroom in the Ritz-Carlton. The ITA warmly invites and encourages all conference delegates to attend the reception.
On Monday, October 28th, member companies of the ITA will assemble for the annual General Assembly at 9:00 AM in the Garden Room. ITA Membership Committee will then hold a 30 minute informational presentation for Prospective New Members starting at 11:00 AM followed by the Conference Lunch for all conference delegates.
The Annual Conference commences on Monday afternoon at 13:30 PM in the Garden Room with a speaker program designed to focus on a variety of industry related topics including Coal Tar, Coal Tar Pitch, Carbon Black, Naphthalene, Coke, Steel, Aluminum and related products. Conference speakers come from diverse backgrounds providing expert insight and content relative to the past, current and future markets. The ITA encourages questions and participation from the audience to create a dialogue with our invited speakers.
On Monday evening, the ITA will host the Conference Dinner for all delegates and spouses to enjoy. As our annual conference moves around the globe each year, the Conference Dinner typically captures the uniqueness of the conference city, providing a very memorable experience.
The Annual Conference resumes on Tuesday, October 29th with the continuation of the speaker program on industry related topics from 8:30 AM in the Garden Room. The Conference session concludes with a mid-day Conference Lunch.
By design, the ITA keeps Tuesday afternoon unscheduled to allow our Members and Delegates to arrange meetings for further networking opportunities.

Spouses’ Program
Registered spouses/accompanying persons will join the ITA social program, including the Sunday Outing, the Welcome Reception, the Conference Dinner and the Conference lunch on Tuesday. In addition, the spouses will join for an exciting tour and experience on Monday, October 28. Information on the Spouses Tour will be updated soon.
