ITA 2020 Conference Information

The International Tar Association (ITA) is pleased to announce the Association’s 2020 Annual Conference will be held in Rome, Italy from Sunday, September 20th, through Tuesday, September 22nd. The Annual Conference will be hosted at The Westin Excelsior Hotel, located at Via Vittorio Veneto, 125–00187, Roma, Italy. Conference delegates will enjoy this downtown location, within walking distance to many historical sites including the Spanish Steps, Borghese Gardens and Villa Medici. Conference Itinerary and Information:

The ITA 2020 Annual Conference will begin on Sunday, September 20th with a morning tour of sites in Rome. This tour is open to all conference delegates and spouses. Detailed information on the tour/program will be announced soon.

The ITA 2020 Annual Conference will officially commence with a Welcome Reception on Sunday at 18:30 PM. This Reception is a great opportunity for our Member Company Delegates and Conference Delegates to come together ahead of the two day intensive conference. This year, the ITA Welcome Reception will be held in the Doney Cafe located within the Westin Excelsior Hotel. The ITA warmly invites and encourages all conference delegates to attend this reception.

On Monday, September 21st, the International Tar Association Member Companies meet for a morning ITA General Assembly meeting at 9:00 AM in the hotel’s Ludovisi Conference Room. The ITA Membership Committee will then hold a 30 minute informational presentation for Prospective New Members starting at 11:30 AM followed by the Conference Lunch for all conference delegates.

The Annual Conference commences on Monday afternoon at 13:30 PM in the Ludovisi Conference Room and includes a speaker program designed to focus on a variety of topics including, but not limited to, Coal Tar, Coal Tar Pitch, Carbon Black, Naphthalene, Coke, Steel, Aluminum and consumer products related to these industries. Conference speakers come from diverse backgrounds providing insight and content relative to the past, current and future related markets. The ITA encourages questions and participation from the audience to create a dialogue with our invited speakers. Overall, the Conference is a great opportunity for individuals working in these related market segments to share and obtain information relative to local, regional and global markets.

On Monday evening, the ITA will host the Conference Dinner for all delegates and spouses to enjoy. As our annual conference moves around the globe each year, the Conference Dinner typically captures the uniqueness of the conference city, providing a great experience for all delegates. Information on the Conference Dinner will be announced soon.

The Annual Conference continues on Tuesday, September 22nd, with the continuation of the speaker program on industry related topics from 8:30 AM. The Conference session concludes with a mid-day Conference Lunch. By design, the ITA keeps the afternoon unscheduled to allow our Members and Delegates to arrange meetings for further networking opportunities.

The Speaker Program for the 2020 Annual Conference is currently being planned. We will post information on the website as speakers are confirmed.
